As Kul Male Student Dormitory ("the Dormitory"), acting as data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), we process the personal data you share through our website (www.kulyurt.com) as described below.
1. Personal data processed
Your full name, phone number, e-mail address, university, the room type you are interested in and your message, shared through the pre-registration / information request form; the information you provide when contacting us via WhatsApp or phone; technical data collected through cookies when you visit the website (IP address, browser information, pages visited).
2. Purposes of processing
Answering your information and availability requests, carrying out pre-registration, contacting you, improving our services and website, fulfilling legal obligations.
3. Legal basis and transfers
Your data is processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK: "establishment or performance of a contract", "legitimate interest of the data controller" and, where required, "explicit consent". Form messages are transmitted through WhatsApp (Meta Platforms); Google Analytics is used for website statistics. The servers of these service providers may be located abroad. Your data is not otherwise shared with third parties; it is transferred to competent authorities only where legally required.
4. Retention period
Request and application records are kept for 2 years following the relevant academic year; if you enrol, for the period required by dormitory legislation, and deleted afterwards.
5. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information if it is, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred, to request correction if incomplete or inaccurate, to request erasure or destruction, to request that these operations be notified to third parties, to object to a result arising against you from analysis by automated systems, and to claim compensation for damages.
